SafeShowings, an app created to deter crimes committed against real estate professionals and homeowners, announces its partnership with Noah T. Leask, award-winning entrepreneur, technologist, philanthropist, and veteran. The partnership was developed because of Leask’s background in technology, security, and entrepreneurialism. Leask is the co-founder and CEO of data analytics company, APC Data Analytics, LLC, an app designed to enable licensed real estate agents to accurately estimate the market value of a specific subject property. The partnership is the result of SafeShowing’s participation in the Harbor Entrepreneurial Center’s Accelerator Program where the app received runner-up designation in the program’s pitch event on Nov. 13, 2019.

“I was honored to be asked to judge the Harbor Accelerator’s Cohort 11. There were a lot of great companies and pitches. I chose one that is near and dear to my heart – safety,” said Leask. “As a father of three daughters, I wonder why they would be allowed to walk in and out of houses alone with complete strangers. How is agent safety not a priority for all brokers?  Since it’s not, only the agent can make themselves safe.”

SafeShowings was one of seven businesses selected to participate in The Harbor Entrepreneur Center’s Accelerator Program in Cohort 11. The Harbor Accelerator is a 14-week business accelerator program designed to support growth of scalable businesses in the Charleston region. Cohort 11 companies culminated their participation in the program on November 13 to pitch their companies and ideas to win investment capital. SafeShowings was selected as runner-up and won a partnership from Leask.

In addition to securely recording a driver’s license, there are several additional features, to include: an open house option which enables the real estate professional to quickly and easily capture images of everyone who crosses through the door during a set time. There is also a feature that enables the user to alert emergency contacts as well as dial 911 with just a click of a button.

“This partnership means that SafeShowings will be on the cutting edge of technology, and will continue to advocate for agent safety and beyond,” said Helen Hudson, founder and CEO of the SafeShowings app. “I thrilled to be working with Mr. Leask and am energized by what is in store.”
