Press Release: Partnership to Provide NC REALTORS®Tools for Safety

SafeShowings, an app developed by The FaceSnap, announced the launch of a new partnership with NC REALTORS®, a non-profit trade association with a membership of 48,000 real estate professionals representing 46 local associations statewide. NC REALTORS® is one of the largest state associations in North Carolina. The FaceSnap’s SafeShowings mobile app for REALTOR® safety will be accessible to all members through the NC REALTOR® Partners Program. From no contact safety precautions to proactive measures to deter crime, the real estate industry is taking notice of the importance of safety as it recognizes REALTOR® Safety month in September.

“Unlike any other safety app on the market, SafeShowings is a mobile APP created by a REALTOR® for real estate professionals to have a proactive approach to control their own safety.” said Helen Hudson, founder of FaceSnap, LLC and Safe Showings. “SafeShowings was launched in app stores 30-days ago, interest is continuing to increase with real estate safety being even more critical today.”

Founder, Helen Hudson, a REALTOR® in Charleston, SC experienced a situation that made her fear for her personal safety early in her career. Her mission is to deter criminal behavior against real estate professionals, homeowners, and clients and she started her journey by developing SafeShowings.

“At NC REALTORS®, our members’ safety is our top priority. That top priority brought us to the SafeShowings App and their amazing staff,” Maurice Brown, NC REALTOR® Partner Program Coordinator, NC REALTORS®.     “We are excited to launch during REALTOR® Safety Month 2020 and look forward to a prosperous future together.”

SafeShowings is the first proactive tool designed to deter crimes against real estate professionals. In addition to securely recording a facial image, additional features include: a broker dashboard, open house safety, emergency alert, GPS location tracking, and more. According to the National Institute of Justice, “The certainty of being caught is a vastly more powerful deterrent than the punishment.”

Many real estate professionals fear for their safety when they enter a property alone with a stranger. The FaceSnap’s goal is to create the tools that could save lives, while keeping people and properties safe. Real estate professionals and their loved ones feel more secure knowing that SafeShowings will automatically notify emergency contacts with identifying details and geolocation in an emergency.

The availability also includes a free trial in honor of REALTOR® Safety Month.
